My name is Exalta and I am French. I grew up in the suburb of Paris but I have my roots in Goa. It is a huge advantage to be able to understand both the cultures, the French one and the Indian one. It has been more than 11 years that I am working in Alliance française, Panjim. What I like the most is to meet different people from different backgrounds and interact with them. As a teacher, I like to make people discover the French language and culture.

Mission Statement: Language is not a genetic gift, it is a social gift. Learning a new language is becoming a member of the club – the community of speakers of that language. Every new member that I induct into the club is a merit badge earned.

My experience with Alliance française, Panjim has been a truly enriching and fruitful one right from 2014. From learning the functional of the French language to teaching those functional, I have learnt to deal with the tricks of the trade very easily and efficiently. It has helped me develop my skills of mastery as well as teaching, now that I am no longer a student but on the other side of the fence. The administration leaves no stone unturned to make sure that I get my due and also make provisions to arrange for new batches. The directors of the past as well as the coordinators have proven that there is a life with French which can take you to another world. The teachers, with their inputs and valuable knowledge of the language, make French more interesting. Last but not the least, it is the large amount of students who bring life into Alliance française, Panjim by participating in classes and other activities which brings me enormous amounts of joy. I hope to remain a part of this circle, unless destiny has planned otherwise.

Teaching is an art, and I believe that when we teach, we learn; which results in accumulation of more knowledge and wisdom through interaction and communication. It surely gives me joy and happiness to be a part of this institute to help others grow and learn under my guidance, rendering a path of luminescence to my students.

Since childhood, fascinated by foreigner things, be it foreign language, culture, people, etc. As my first foreign language, I made my connection with French. That was always fruitful, opened a new domain for me in academic and non-academic both. Moreover, completed my masters in French and Francophone studies and teaching French language in Alliance française, Panjim for the last 4 years.
